Why Regular Testing Matters

When chlorine and pH levels fall out of balance, this can lead to diarrhea as well as ear and skin infections. Optimal chlorine and pH levels keep harmful bacteria in check.

Note: if the pH rises too high, the disinfecting power of chlorine decreases. Additionally, chlorine can be quickly depleted when large amounts of nitrogen (from dirt, urine, sunscreen, or sweat) or other organic matter enter the pool. For this reason, it is advisable to test levels continuously, as they can change from day to day depending on pool usage.
